Packing tips

You can use your own boxes and containers, or purchase what you need on your own or on our website after confirming your order.

Book shelf

For storing books, use small boxes.

For a shelf 200 x 90 x 30m normally loaded, allow about 5 boxes. If the shelf is well loaded with books, allow 10 boxes instead.

2 door wardrobe full of clothes

For the packing of folded garments, it is better to use medium sized cartons, commonly called "standard" cartons.

For a small cabinet with two doors, allow between 6 and 7 standard boxes. If the cabinet is very large, double the number to 12 or 14.

To properly store clothes on hangers, a wardrobe box or rack is ideal. Hang your winter coats, put your boots on the bottom, and gain an extra closet during the summer.

2-door buffet full of dishes

The dishes must be wrapped in white paper before being placed in cartons. For a low buffet, between 5 and 6 medium-sized boxes (ie standard boxes). For a high buffet, allow ten.

The number of boxes needed depend on whether you have few or many things to store.

Living room

You will need 2-4 small cartons, 3-4 standard cartons, and 1-2 large cartons. See our tips to estimate the number of boxes for specific types of furniture such as bookcases.

Kitchen

The kitchen is a heavy consumer of cardboard boxes. In terms of sizes, allow 2 to 4 small boxes, 5 to 6 standard boxes, 2 large boxes and 4 to 6 special boxes.

Dining room

Make sure your plates are protected in crockery boxes and glasses in glass boxes. Allow 1-2 small cartons, 1-2 standard cartons and 2-4 special cartons.

Bedroom

For most urban appartments, adult bedrooms require 1-3 small boxes, 5-6 standard boxes, 5-8 large boxes and 2-4 large wardrobe boxes or a clothes rack. Adolescents and children generally have less to store: 1-2 small boxes, 3-5 standard boxes, 3-5 large boxes, and 1-2 large wardrobe boxes.

Office

2-4 archive boxes 1-3 book boxes and 1-2 standard boxes are generally enough for the average home office. Double or triple these quantities for large offices with heavy printed material.

Bathroom

Generally just 2 to 3 small boxes and one standard box are necessary.

No, but you pay more for the storage and transport of objects that are not dismantled because they are larger.
